Plasma
The Plasma open game network provides a Digital Media Distribution Network with built-in Digital Rights Management and a Multiplayer Game Networking Framework Library. Plasma will be an Open Source framework but a Closed Run-Time Operation, thus allowing for the safety and security of the participants/ users/ and service/game providers. The Plasma network will provide an easy way for users to find Open Source and Indie (Garage) Game software, an easy way for game developers to distribute and advertise their work, and for communities to easily communicate and play these games together.
Plasma will focus on distribution of 'free' and 'indie' games. The Plasma Network will be the middle-man broker that will handle the work of distribution, updating and support for games that would normally have to 'go it on their own'.
